“Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord. According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue” 1 Pet 1:2-3.
Brethren, the knowledge of God by His word is key to a successful and victorious Christian life and the lack of it is the only thing God says causes the destruction and downfall of Christians (Hosea 4:6).
However, God who doesn’t want His people to suffer destruction and sorrow has commended them to grow in the knowledge of Christ in 2 Per 3:18. You cannot know God apart from His word for He is the Word (John 1:1), so give attention to the study of the Word by both personal studies and from assemblies where it is well taught. Believers today are following man-made church doctrines instead of the TRUTH/JESUS, establishing their own righteousness like the Pharisees (Rom 10:1-3) to earn what Christ has left for them to just receive, because of ignorance.
If your church is not cooking the word and feeding you, go to where it is well cooked and served;for “Iron sharpens iron”, and your church will not partake of the consequences and effects of the ignorance of the WORD in your life, for every head must carry it’s own load!
It is this knowledge that sets you free from bondage of ignorance that leads to destruction. Brethren, do your best to grow in the knowledge of God which increases peace & the free gifts of God in your life by studying and hearing the Word!
